Shakti is the facial oil I make for skin that has become drier with the years, my own included. I blend [two or three key herbs or oils, e.g. saffron, rose, and sesame] into a rich oil that sinks into your skin and leaves it soft, supple, and glowing, without a heavy or greasy feel.
[Use this line only if it's true: I cook the herbs slowly into the oil over three days, then strain it by hand through cloth.]
Shakti is a Sanskrit word for the living energy in every woman. This oil is made for that woman: the one who knows who she is and takes ten quiet minutes for her own skin before the day begins.
I make every batch myself and use this oil in the facials in my own treatment room.
How to use
Warm three or four drops between your fingertips. Press them gently into clean skin on your face, neck, and décolleté, then smooth upward with light strokes. Use it morning or evening, on its own or over your moisturizer. For a deeper ritual, layer it over the 100x Washed Ghee at night.
