Meet Leslie

Rooted in Ayurveda. Guided by lived experience.

I’m Leslie Lovlin, an Ayurvedic Doctor and founder of Inner Sage Ayurveda.

I’m not just an Ayurvedic doctor. I’m also another human finding my way through this thing called life. I bring education and clinical training, but I also bring lived experience, deep empathy, and an honest, down-to-earth approach to this work.

Over the years, Ayurveda has shaped the way I understand nourishment, resilience, the nervous system, seasonal living, and the importance of listening to the body rather than forcing it.

First we nourish.

How I came to this work

My path into Ayurveda began as a personal search for a different way of living — one that felt more supportive, grounded, and connected.

When I say Ayurveda saved my life, I mean that deeply. It changed the way I understood my body, my health, and the way I was moving through the world.

That experience led me to study this medicine more seriously, not only for myself, but so I could eventually share what I was learning with others.

More than two decades later, I’m still devoted to the practice, and just as importantly, to continuing to learn.

How I work

My practice centers the nervous system, with plants as the medicine. As an herbalist, I work with warm herbal oils on the body and tailored herbal support off the table. There’s a particular kind of listening that happens when the body is held and the plants are doing their work — a slowing down long enough to notice what feels out of rhythm, reconnect with yourself, and move toward what feels more aligned and true.

I work with clients and students in a few different ways:

Ayurvedic Bodywork Sessions — Traditional therapies such as Abhyanga, Shirodhara, and other restorative treatments designed to support rest, nourishment, and a deeper connection with the body.

1:1 Personal Mentorship — For women ready to go deeper. We work together over time with Ayurveda, nervous-system support, seasonal rhythm, and practical daily changes that help create more steadiness and connection.

Couples Mentorship — Support for couples and partners navigating communication, patterns, stress, and the places relationships ask us to grow. Together, we slow things down and create space for greater understanding, honesty, and connection.

The Path to Ojas — A six-week guided program for women 45+ focused on nourishment, digestion, daily rhythm, nervous-system support, emotional well-being, and creating a more personalized path toward greater vitality.

Sacred Pause Sangha — A gentle online circle where women gather, soften, and reconnect through breath, reflection, seasonal wisdom, meditation, and shared practice.

Ayurveda Trainings & Education — I also teach Ayurveda through workshops and professional trainings, including hands-on Ayurvedic bodywork education for practitioners who want to deepen their skills and bring these traditional practices into their own work.

The thread underneath all of it

Whether we meet on the treatment table, in mentorship, through a group program, or in circle, the invitation is the same: pause, reconnect, and return to what matters.

Ayurveda reminds us that well-being is often less about doing more and more about creating the conditions for the body, mind, and heart to come back into rhythm.

My work is to help you listen more closely, nourish more deeply, and reconnect with the wisdom that is already within you.

First we nourish. From there, we listen.

Beyond the clinic

When I’m not in practice, you’ll usually find me in the garden, walking River on the trails, making Ayurvedic products, experimenting in the kitchen, or spending time with my family and six grandchildren.

I’m also a forever student — still studying, still being mentored, still curious, and still learning.
